World Porridge Day 2026: Meet the Overnight Goats

The short answer.

World Porridge Day falls on 10 October 2026. To celebrate, MYOM and SURREAL have joined forces on a breakfast that is easy to make, fun to decorate and difficult not to smile at: Overnight Goats.

A Better Breakfast For World Porridge Day

The recipe starts with SURREAL Strawberry Overnight Oats and freshly prepared MYOM Original Oat drink. Apple slices become horns. Satsuma segments become ears. Blueberries, banana and strawberry complete the face. The result is a creamy bowl with the protein and flavour of SURREAL, the light freshness of MYOM and a goat face made entirely from fruit.

It works as quick overnight oats in just a few minutes, or as warm porridge when the weather calls for something cosier. Despite the name, there is no need to prepare it the night before.

How To Make Overnight Goats

This World Porridge Day recipe serves one and takes around 10 minutes, including decorating.

For The Oats

  • 1 packet SURREAL Strawberry Overnight Oats
  • 160ml prepared MYOM Original Oat drink

For The Goat Face

  • 2 thin apple slices for the horns
  • 2 satsuma segments for the ears
  • 2 blueberries for the eyes
  • 2 round banana slices for the muzzle
  • 1 curved strawberry slice for the smile
  • 2 tiny pieces cut from an extra blueberry for the nostrils

Method

  1. Pour the SURREAL Strawberry Overnight Oats into a shallow bowl. Add 160ml prepared MYOM and stir well.
  2. Leave the oats for 3 to 5 minutes to thicken. Prepare the fruit while you wait.
  3. Place the apple slices at the top for horns. Add one satsuma segment below and outside each horn for the ears, then position the two blueberries as eyes.
  4. Overlap the banana slices vertically beneath the eyes to form the muzzle. Add two tiny blueberry pieces as nostrils and finish with the curved strawberry smile.
  5. Serve straight away and enjoy your Overnight Goat.

Prefer Warm Porridge?

Use 270ml prepared MYOM instead of 160ml. Add the oats and MYOM to a microwaveable bowl, stir and microwave for 2 minutes at 800W. Leave for 1 minute, allow it to cool to a suitable serving temperature, then decorate with the fruit face.

MYOM And SURREAL Join Forces

MYOM and SURREAL started from the same useful question: why accept the usual breakfast format when there might be a better one? SURREAL reworks familiar cereals and oats around high protein and lower sugar. MYOM removes the water from oat drink, putting a fresh 500ml serving into a small cupboard-friendly pouch that you mix when you need it.

Together, the products make breakfast simpler. A SURREAL sachet supplies the oats and flavour. MYOM supplies the creamy oat drink. Add fruit and five minutes, and breakfast is ready. It is the same high protein, lower sugar thinking behind our guide to the best breakfasts for a GLP-1 diet.

Six Flavours Across October

Overnight Goats launches a month of MYOM x SURREAL breakfast ideas. Throughout October 2026, the collaboration will explore six SURREAL Overnight Oats flavours made with MYOM Original: Chocolate, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter, Strawberry, Banana and Honey.

The same simple base can be served cold, warmed into porridge or blended into a breakfast shake. Each flavour gets its own easy topping idea, from raspberries with Chocolate to banana and walnuts with Banana. Honey is the one flavour in the range that is not vegan; the other five are suitable for plant-based breakfasts. If you like the blended option, our MYOM Blueberry Oat Smoothie Recipe is another quick one.

Why MYOM Works With Overnight Oats

MYOM Original is designed to be made fresh. Add water to the premix and shake, then pour exactly what the recipe needs. Its creamy, neutral flavour gives SURREAL room to lead while keeping the finished bowl light and smooth.

One 65g MYOM pouch makes 500ml of oat drink, enough for three Overnight Goats bowls at 160ml each, with a little left over. Keep the unopened pouches in the cupboard, make a fresh bottle when you need one and use it across breakfast, coffee and cooking.

That compact format also makes it easier to keep a breakfast routine stocked. Instead of finding space for multiple cartons, you keep the oat drink concentrate in the cupboard and add the water at home.

Make Breakfast Better For One Pound A Pouch

The easiest way to keep the collaboration on repeat is the MYOM Original 65g multipack. The offer packs 36 pouches for £36, bringing each pouch to £1, with free delivery. Each pouch makes 500ml of fresh oat drink.

That is enough MYOM for roughly 108 bowls of Overnight Goats at the 160ml recipe measure. Choose a different SURREAL flavour, switch the fruit face or warm the bowl when the temperature drops.
