What is MYOM?

MYOM is a liquid oat drink premix in a pouch. It holds everything that makes an oat drink except most of the water. You add cold tap water at home, shake, and it becomes fresh oat drink.

Nothing is reduced from a larger volume and nothing is dried. The pouch contains a small amount of water; you add the rest just before use. A ready-made carton, by contrast, has all its water added at the factory and is usually heat-treated and packed as a full litre.

Name on pack: MYOM Original Oat is a blend of oats with added calcium, vitamins and minerals to make an oat drink.

How much does one MYOM pouch make?

You can use a little less water for a creamier drink or a little more for a lighter one. The nutrition figures on this page are for the drink made as directed; changing the amount of water changes them.

How do you make MYOM?

Make 1 litre (130g pouch)

1. Pour 500ml of cold water into a clean 1 litre bottle.
2. Add the whole 130g pouch.
3. Shake firmly for 30 seconds.
4. Top up with cold water to 1 litre, then shake again.

Make 500ml (65g pouch, Original only)

1. Pour 240ml of cold water into a clean 500ml bottle.
2. Add the whole 65g pouch.
3. Shake firmly for 30 seconds.
4. Top up with 200ml of cold water, then shake again.

Using a blender

1. Add water. Pour 875ml of water into your blender to make one litre, or 440ml to make 500ml.
2. Squeeze. Add your MYOM liquid premix: a 130g pouch for one litre or a 65g pouch for 500ml.
3. Blend. Blend for 30 seconds.

Tip: Start with cold water and shake hard for the smoothest texture. If you are making it for coffee, chill it before frothing.

How long does MYOM last?

Unopened pouches: store in a cool, dry place. Both blends carry a best before end date of up to 12 months. Check the date on the pack. No fridge needed.

Once made: keep your oat drink in the fridge and use it within 5 days. Shake before each use, as natural separation can occur.

What is in MYOM?

Both blends are fortified with calcium, vitamin D, vitamin B12 and iodine, and neither contains dipotassium phosphate, gums, stabilisers or emulsifiers. Both have no added sugar and are low in saturated fat. MYOM Original is also low in sugar and low in fat.

MYOM Original Oat

MYOM Barista Oat

Ingredients: OATS (77%), Rapeseed Oil, Water, Fava Bean Protein, Minerals (Tricalcium Phosphate, Potassium Iodide), Sea Salt, Vitamins (Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3).

MYOM Original Oat or MYOM Barista Oat: what is the difference?

Both blends are made the same way and carry the same fortification. The difference is in texture and how they behave in hot drinks. Barista contains fava bean protein and more rapeseed oil, which give it more body and help it hold microfoam.

Choose Original for an everyday oat drink across cereal, tea, smoothies and cooking. Choose Barista if you mainly drink lattes, flat whites and cappuccinos.

Is MYOM good for coffee?

Yes, MYOM Barista Oat is made for it. It steams and stretches for lattes, flat whites and cappuccinos, and works in hot chocolate too.

• Chill it well before frothing.
• Heat to around 60–65°C for the best microfoam.
• For an extra-creamy drink, use slightly less water when mixing.
• Shake before pouring. MYOM has no stabilisers or emulsifiers, so natural separation is normal.

Packaging and transport

At least 80% less primary packaging by weight than a typical 1L carton: 6g of pouch against 31.5–33.5g of carton.

Around 87% less weight shipped per litre. A 130g pouch travels instead of a full litre of finished drink.
