What MYOM is

MYOM oat milk premix (just add water) is an oat milk blend in a pouch. You add cold water at home, shake, and it becomes fresh oat milk.

Carton oat milk is typically mostly water. MYOM ships the oat milk ingredients only, so you add the water when you need it.

How much oat milk does MYOM make?

Product Pouch size Makes (when mixed)
MYOM Original Oat 65 g 500 ml
MYOM Original Oat 130 g 1 L
MYOM Barista Oat 130 g 1 L

You can adjust strength: use slightly less water for a creamier milk, or slightly more for a lighter milk.

How to make MYOM (shake to make)

Make 1 L (130 g pouch)

  1. Pour 500 ml cold water into a clean bottle.
  2. Add the full 130 g pouch.
  3. Shake firmly for 20–30 seconds.
  4. Top up with cold water to reach 1 L, then shake again.

Make 500 ml (65 g pouch — Original)

  1. Pour 240 ml cold water into a 500 ml bottle.
  2. Add the full 65 g pouch.
  3. Shake for 20 seconds.
  4. Top up with 200 ml water, then shake again.

Tip: For best texture, start with cold water and shake hard. If you’re making it for coffee, chill before frothing.

Storage & shelf life

  • Unopened premix: store in a cool, dry place. Original is typically 12 months. Barista is currently 7 months (check pack).
  • Once made (mixed with water): refrigerate and use within 5 days. Shake before each use (natural separation can occur).
  • Opened pouch: reseal, store cool & dry, and use promptly. If you decant into an airtight container, keep it dry.

Which MYOM oat milk should I choose?

Choose MYOM Original Oat if you want a versatile oat milk for everyday use across cereal, tea, smoothies and cooking.

Choose MYOM Barista Oat if you primarily drink coffee and want improved creaminess and foam performance in lattes, flat whites and cappuccinos.

Coffee performance (what to expect)

Barista is formulated for steaming and microfoam. It performs best when well chilled before frothing and heated to around 60–65°C.

  • Best for: lattes, flat whites, cappuccinos, hot chocolate.
  • Expect: natural separation over time — shake before pouring (this is normal for fewer additives).
  • If you want extra creamy: use slightly less water when mixing.

Cost per litre (MYOM vs carton oat milk)

Prices vary by retailer and promotions. The fair way to compare is cost per litre of ready-to-drink milk after mixing.

  • MYOM (subscription / multipack): £1.25 – £2.30 per litre (after mixing)
  • Carton oat milk (typical UK): £1.40 – £2.30 per litre

Packaging reduction vs cartons

Carton oat milk is typically around 90% water. With MYOM, you add the water at home — meaning less liquid shipping and less bulky packaging.

Packaging claim (range)

Uses significantly less packaging than carton oat milk because the water is added at home and the product ships in lightweight pouches.

Why it’s lower

You’re not buying or transporting a litre of water for every litre of milk.

FAQs (quick answers)

What is MYOM?

MYOM is a liquid oat milk premix designed to be diluted with water at home. It contains the same blended oat milk base ingredients used in high-quality carton oat milks, but in a more concentrated format.

Unlike ready-to-drink carton oat milk, where around 90% of the water is added during manufacturing and the product is then UHT processed, MYOM contains only a small amount of water in the pouch. The remaining water is added by you, just before use, by shaking with cold water to make fresh oat milk.

MYOM is not a powder. It is a liquid premix that sits between ready-to-drink oat milk and powdered alternatives, combining the freshness and ingredient quality of carton oat milk with the convenience of adding water only when needed.

How much does one pouch make?

A 130 g pouch makes 1 litre. A 65 g pouch (Original only) makes 500 ml when mixed with water.

How long does MYOM last once made?

Once mixed with water, refrigerate and use within 5 days. Shake before each use (natural separation can occur).

Is MYOM good for coffee?

Yes. Barista is designed for microfoam and creamy texture in hot drinks. Chill before steaming and heat to ~60–65°C for best results.

Where can I buy MYOM?
