MYOM Cold Foam Iced Long Black Recipe

A two-step drink with one luxurious flourish. Five minutes from start to first sip.

Serves: 1. Time: 5 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tall glass full of ice
  • 1 double shot of espresso (or one strong cafetière pour, cooled)
  • 100ml of chilled MYOM Barista Oat (icy-cold, below 6°C)

Method

  • Fill a tall glass to the brim with ice.
  • Pour a freshly pulled double espresso over the top. Let it cascade through the ice.
  • Froth the chilled MYOM Barista with a handheld frother for 20 to 30 seconds, until the volume doubles and the foam holds glossy peaks.
  • Spoon the cold foam generously over the top of the iced espresso. Pour over the back of a spoon if you want a clean layer; let it drift in if you want the swirl.
  • Drink immediately, through the foam. The first sip is creamy. The second is espresso. The third is both.
